I was wondering if you considered 6 years of ups and downs with depression and when i am off my medication i get really depressed. I also have wicked anxiety associated with my depression. My boyfriend doesn't think that this is a mental disability and he says that it can be healed something like bi polar disorder can't be healed that's more of a mental disability and depression isn't because it can be healed. Well I have depression and I don't see it healing any time soon. I totally have ups and downs even on my medications. I see a therapist once every two weeks and I was just wondering what you thought about my comments. Please respond when you have a chance.
It is now my understanding to my terrific past and illness that it takes a combination of things to truly walk the road of ongoing recovery. My combination or keys is as follows. Medication, validation, education, peer support, good friends and family who understand, physically taking care of ourselves and a higher power. It is hard, very difficult to find what I have but my keys to work most of the time for me as there is in my mind no true, full recovery.
